EYFS and Key Stage 1: Astronomy Workshops

telescope quest (medium)

Telescope Quest

Allow your EYFS or KS1 students to use a scientific telescope first-hand for the very first time. If you book this workshop in a time where it’s light outside, students will be able to locate hidden toys inside the classroom with the telescope. If your workshop is booked when the sky is dark, your students will learn how to use a telescope to find the moon or a planet. We combine the telescope task with space stories to capture their curiosity early and inspire a love for space that only grows as they do.

t+w time hop

Time Hop

Tailored and differentiated for learner types, ‘Time Hop’ begins with a listening session before a kinaesthetic activity, allowing your students to test their learning by doing. Learners are taught about the patterns and treasures in the sky, before exploring the concept of light and how it travels across the universe. ‘The Plough’ asterism is explored now and in the past. Then, students work together to make their own ‘light up’ version of the asterism ‘The Plough’ using our custom-designed LED kit.
