Terms of use of our Website

When using this Website you will not:

Create an account if you are under 13 years of age.
Create an account if you are under the legal age of digital consent in your country without going through our sign up process including getting permission from a parent/guardian.
Create an account for someone else.
Share your login details with another person.
Submit obscene or inappropriate language either as part of your account details or in answers to questions.
Impose disproportionately large load on our infrastructure or circumvent any technical measures used to protect this website.
Use our material for any other purpose than your own learning. It is not to be used as a classroom/tuition resource.

Terms and conditions for Mission Astro in-person experiences

Our in-person experiences include; stargazing events, workshops and talks.

If you cancel your booking anytime between purchase and 7 days before the event, you are entitled to a fill refund. If you cancel your booking between 7 days before the event and 2 days before the event, you are entitled to a 50% refund. If you cancel your booking less than 48 hours before the event, no refund will be granted.

When booking a workshop, the money for the student kits must be paid at least 2 weeks before the workshop due to materials having to be purchased to fulfil your order. Payment for presenters time and fuel costs is due immediately after the event.

If your presenter is taken ill or suddenly unable to attend, the experience will be rearranged to a time and date that is convenient for both parties. If the event can not be rescheduled, attendees will receive a full refund.

Refund Policy for Mission Astro Courses

We want you to be satisfied, so if you purchase a course on our website you can apply for a refund within 14 days of purchase. You will be given a full refund providing a good reason is given for the refund.

Our 14-day policy for courses

The 14 days begins on the purchase date for those purchasing the course directly and from the redemption date for those who receive a course via a course gift card.

While our 14-day refund policy is to allow students to learn risk free, we must also protect ourselves from fraud. With our system we can see the sections that students have completed. We are happy for the student to have completed Stage 1.1 of any course and still get a refund, with good reason. However if any of the sections section 1.2 or any of the subsequent stages have been started, we reserve the right to deny a refund.

Refund Policy for Mission Astro Resources

For the Asterism Adventure Teacher Kit, as this is an online purchase, you have the right to cancel the purchase and return the goods at any time up to 14 calendar days after the purchase date. Envelope containing QR code to online resources must be unopened.

For instantly downloadable paid-for resources, we cannot offer refunds as we have to protect ourselves from fraud.

Refund Policy for Mission Astro Merchandise

As this is an online purchase, you have the right to cancel the purchase and return the goods at any time up to 14 calendar days after the purchase date. You have 28 days from the purchase date to return the item to us for a full refund. Address to return it to is available upon request.

Returns

You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it and must be in the original packaging.

Refunds

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within 14 days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Gift card terms and conditions

Redemption

Gift cards and e-gift cards can be redeemed on the missionastro.org website or by contacting us directly on [email protected].
Our gift cards entitle the holder to goods on the Mission Astro website up to the value on their gift card.
Gift cards are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
As this is an online purchase, you have the right to cancel the gift card at any time up to 14 calendar days after the purchase date.
